Synopsis:

6 Years in China follows a young woman, a student from 1960s Québec, Marie-pierre, as she journeys into the heart of China at the height of the Cultural Revolution, a dark and turbulent time when the country was being torn apart. Marie-pierre learns more than she could have imagined, as she goes from day-dreaming student, to being swept up in the historical whirlwind shaping a nation. During her years far from home, she’s taught a harsh lesson in love… and the real meaning of sacrifice.
